Looking Back At How It All Began

BuyHeatShrink.com didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in a bedroom with a broken leg after founder Marc Savoy fell off his roof in 2005 during Hurricane Wilma. This business wasn’t started by accident, but there was definitely an accident involved.

Marc likes to aim bigger, see bigger, and think bigger. And so he started from the ground up…literally. Rethinking the way businesses bring their products to the public. Reimagining the way plastics can be marketed and used in industries across the country. Strategizing, scaling, and securing the belief that heat shrink could be something more.

So, broken leg and all, he bought a computer, QuickBooks, Dreamweaver, some inventory, and never looked back.

What began in his bedroom expanded into his basement. Then, quietly but quickly spread to a warehouse that he outgrew in just three years. Until Marc and his brand finally found their way to their current home, a sprawling 5,000 sq/ft warehouse in Pompano Beach, Florida.

And then there was a fall from a roof and an idea…the possibility to grow and scale a business of his own, from the ground up.

From a bedroom office to a basement bursting at the seams to expanding warehouses chock-full of all the right inventory, BuyHeatShrink grew. We adapted. We defined ourselves by persistence, purpose, and people-first sales. And we have no intention of changing how we do things.
